At Stewart Headlam, the Performing Arts, i.e. Music and Drama, are highly valued, not only, as a way of developing the children’s creative thinking but as a tool to explore the world around them, to learn about other cultures and to think about other people’s feelings .Every child, throughout the school, has the opportunity to develop their skills in this area.
Performing Arts is integrated into the timetable in a variety of ways including direct timetabled music lessons, singing and instrumental whole class tuition, through Literacy or topic based role play, assembly performances, celebrations and festivals and clubs.
